About 20 years ago before we became 2nd Glance Books, our store was founded as Wendy's New & Used Books on Maple Road in Walled Lake Michigan.  In May of 2004 the previous owners (Wendy's parents) were ready to move on to other things and were about to liquidate the store.  Upon hearing the store was about to close, being a customer since the beginning, I convinced them to sell it to me in July 2004.  My daughter Jennifer helps me with the store.

An opportunity for a better store location arose in July 2007 so we relocated to Commerce Township, about a mile down the road, then decided it was a perfect time to change the name so 2nd Glance Books was born!

My background includes several years of office management, some retail, working in the health field and owning a gift basket business.

This store is by far the best "best career choice" I've made.  You get to meet so many great people and as the saying goes there are just "so many books so little time".
